Ethan Bondar has spent his career in the industry and has seen it all, from boutique consultancies to large multinational research firms. He had a natural passion and knack for the work, and his combination of talent, passion, and wide-ranging experience led to rapid career growth, starting at the ground level and moving into executive roles by his late twenties.
Ethan’s drive to question the status quo and improve the value of his work did not just fuel his career success, it also helped him spot a growing problem in the industry. Too often, the research being delivered to companies was not as valuable as it could (and should) be.
Quality and depth were dropping, but timelines and costs were not. Firms were spread too thin to go the extra mile required to deliver the quality clients deserved. Work that requires senior experts was being handed off to new analysts behind the scenes. Unvetted AI being used to speed things up. Add in declining data quality, and the result was clear: the system was broken. Research firms were shaping the way they operated around maximizing their profits and getting the work off their plates, instead of prioritizing their clients’ ROI.
Ethan knew something had to change, and he knew he had the experience and knowledge to lead that change. In 2025, he founded The Bondar Group on a simple principle: companies deserve better value from their research company.
